Intro:
Have you ever took apart or do surgery on a computer before? Well, I just started learning how to do so under the help of Mr. Robert. However, the goal of taking apart the computer is to learn how the pieces work and being able to assemble it back together, with it being able to turn on. Before I started taking it apart, I seriously thought it was gonna be the worst semester of my life but it was actually SUPER fun taking the screws off.

The Challenge
I think the challenge is remembering the parts of the computer and how they work, which I don’t. Sooner or later I will remember!! (hopefully) The teacher would unscrew the component and ask, “What part is this and how does it look.” We (me and Renee) wouldn’t know what to answer and it felt really frustrated since I have short term memory. After a mental breakdown I listen to the person who knows the answer and try to remember it, I usually do for that day but one week later it disappears like a rainbow. If I forget I just ask!
Learning Experience:
I learned that if you touch the bottom of the C.P.U too hard it could bend or break the chips which causes it to be unable to fit in its slot and then you have to pay for a new one. Since the computer won’t able to work with a broken C.P.U. This project has changed the fact that I first thought that computers doesn’t generate energy after you turn it off, but turns out the heat sink a.k.a the fan that sits on top of the C.P.U. can still generate energy after years.

Conclusion:
I think the experience of taking apart the computer was somewhat stressful but still enjoyable. The most valuable lesson I learned is that teamwork makes the dream work! By working together you achieve almost anything, almost. Without my partner I would have had technical difficulties. After I learn how to assemble back a computer I am going to just stop since I think learning how to open a computer enough knowledge for me!!!
